MATCH PREVIEW - Casuals are back in league action at Brinsford Lane tomorrow against one of the leagues in form teams

Simon Cox

The leagues top scorers visit Brinsford Lane tomorrow having scored 11 unanswered goals in their last two games.

Tomorrow afternoon Wolverhampton Casuals return to North West Counties Football League Division One South when one of the leagues in form teams Allscott Heath travel to Brinsford Stadium.

October has been an excellent month for Allscott Heath winning all four league, fixtures in the month and there only losses this month have been in cup competitions losing 2-1 at Shawbury Town in the T.J. Vickers Cup and in the Edward Case Cup at Stafford Town by the same score line. Their league form however has been outstanding and in their four wins they have scored 18 goals and conceded just 3.

The month started well with a 4-1 away win at Crewe, followed by a 3-2 win at home against Brereton Social. The last two Saturdays of the month produced big wins, 6-0 at home against Foley Meir and last Saturday a 5-0 win at Telford Town. October’s form has seen Allscott Heath rise to 8th in the table and after 13 league fixtures, they have won six, drawn two and lost five and are on 20 points, two places below tomorrow’s hosts Wolverhampton Casuals.

Danger men for tomorrow’s opponents include Ben Davis with 12 goals followed by Benjamin Summers with 6 along with George Cross and Keon Newnes both on who have both scored 4 each. Allscott Heath are the league’s leading scorers with 39 goals in 13 games, an average of 3 goals per game and they are bound to present Casuals with a huge test at Brinsford Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

After last Saturday’s late 3-2 win at home against Crewe in a Second Round Macron Cup, Wolverhampton Casuals have had a good week’s preparation for Saturday’s game and will welcome back top scorer Keiran Cooke from suspension, and he is likely to go straight into tomorrow’s match day squad. Long-term absentee Ben Podmore is some weeks away from returning and the clubs management team is likely to have a virtually full squad to choose from for tomorrow’s game.

Casuals, because they face a break from Cup football for the next three fixtures and Allscott as they look to continue their resurgence following a difficult start to the season in August which saw them win just one league fixture.

Tomorrow the game kicks off at 3.00 p.m.

Admission: Adults £7.00, Concessions including under 16’s £4.00, Under 12’s free

Printed Programme: £2.00 available from the pay hut.

Hot and Cold food is on sale all afternoon together with the bar being open.

Why not come early and take in the lunch-time game on Sky Sports, ensuring that you have a parking space within the limited parking at Casuals ground.

We look forward to seeing many Wolverhampton Casuals supporters at tomorrow’s game, the first of three consecutive home fixtures.
