The North West Counties League have released Wolverhampton Casuals fixtures for August

Wolverhampton Casuals have a difficult start to their 2026/27 league campaign.

This morning the North West Counties League have provided clubs with August’s fixtures. Cassies will play seven games in this period, four away and three at home.

The first four away fixtures are to be played on the opening three Saturdays of the season.

On opening day 1st August Dean Gill’s squad will travel to Crewe who were promoted from The Cheshire Football League after finishing fifth, twenty one points behind champions Parklands.

The following Wednesday 5th August Cassies welcome Market Drayton Town to Brinsford Stadium for their opening home league game of the new season. Market Drayton last season finished 17th in the league and avoided relegation by virtue of their points per games tally.

The following Saturday 8th August the club have one of their longest trips of the season to Manchester based Cheadle Heath Nomads who last season managed a mid-table ninth placed finish.

Back to Brinsford Stadium on Wednesday 12th August for a big game against Eccleshill who must be one of the leagues favourites for promotion this season after losing on penalties last season in the play off final to Stockport Georgians.

Its back on the road again on Saturday 15th August, this time a trip to Telford to face newly promoted Dawley Town who earned promotion by winning the Shropshire County League Dawley Town will be a new name to most people, the club has been in existence for some time and changed its name in 2020 to Dawley Town from Telford Juniors who played for many seasons in the West Midlands Regional League.

Saturday 22 August Cassies will travel for the fourth consecutive Saturday to Cheshire based Sandbach United who finished just outside ethe play-offs last season in sixth place.

The clubs first Saturday home game of the season is the following Saturday 29 August when Alsager Town travel down the M6 to Brinsford Stadium. Alsager finished just outside the relegation places
