The club enters an important period with two big cup fixtures in six day, first the Edward Case cup followed by the FA Vase on Saturday

Wolverhampton Casuals face a quick turnaround tomorrow evening as they travel to Cheadle Heath Nomads in the first round of the Edward Case Cup.

The tie is the first of two important cup fixtures in the space of six days, with Casuals also set to host Southwell City next Saturday in a First Round FA Vase fixture at Brinsford Stadium.

The two clubs last met in the second week of August at the Ideal Building Systems Stadium, Casuals ran out 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Liam Kirton and a brace from Kieran Cook sealed the points.

Since that meeting, Cheadle Heath Nomads have made a mixed start to the campaign and are currently 15th in the League standings, with two wins and four draws from their opening eleven fixtures. Their victories have come against Wednesfield Community (1-0) and, yesterday Telford Town, who they beat 2-0 Chigozie Ewelike and George Colville scoring.

Their last six matches have included a 3-2 defeat at Market Drayton Town, followed by a midweek loss at Barton United (0-1), back-to-back 3-3 draws followed firstly against league leaders Sandbach United and Stafford Town. In the First Round of the Macron Cup they were convincingly beaten 4-0 defeat by Ramsbottom United.

Mohammed Chigozie is Cheadle Heath Nomads leading scorer with four goals from five starts, while Daniel Lewis, Dylan Woods, and George Coville have two each. Tanor Collins leads the clubs Man-of-the-Match nominations with three, followed by George Coville and Jack Higginbottom on two each.

One-off cup games have a habit of throwing current form and recent results out of the window, so Wolverhampton Casuals will need to be at their best if they are to progress into the second round of the Edward Chase Cup.

Casuals head into the game on the back of a seven-game unbeaten run in league and cup competition. The management team are also likely to take into account injuries, knocks and availability along with the very quick turnaround after yesterdays Derby-Day win over Wednesfield Community.

There are just a few seats remaining on the team coach travelling to tomorrows game. The coach will leave Wolverhampton Casuals at Brinsford Stadium at 4pm. Supporters wishing to travel with the team and avoid driving should contact Match Secretary Simon Cox on 07956 679056 to reserve a seat.
