Arguably After introducing the first three members of Wolverhampton Casuals new First Team Management Team, we are now delighted to introduce Assistant Manager Ian Homer and coaches Scott Mason along with the returning Grant Winwood who was a member of Savo’s management team just after COVID.
Firstly, lets get to know Ian Homer who started out as a player in the late 1990’s playing for Hereford Untied in the Football League. He then progressed into coaching joining West Bromwich Albion as a Foundation Phase Coach. After three years he left the Albion to join Walsall to become a Foundation Youth Development phase coach. Both positions were on a part time basis as Ian pursued a very demanding career as a public servant.

After two years at Walsall in left in 2017, and took over the successful Halesowen Town U18 Floodlit team, continuing their success before leaving to join Darlaston Town in 2022,
After arriving at Darlaston Ian has steadily influenced progress and events, taking a more front role after Lee Turton left the club in the summer of 2023, and was a vital part of the clubs’ management team and in early January 2025 was promoted to Assistant Manager. His attention to detail and organisation skills are second to none, he has exceptionally high standards which he expects everyone else to have, also he is very good a reading games and not afraid of suggesting major changes at key times.
Ian left the club in the summer of 2025 for a new challenge, which did not last long, he returned to the club the first weekend of September, into his original role, before resigning in March this year with Dean and the rest of the management team.
This man needs no introduction to the Wolverhampton Casuals supporters please welcome back Grant Winwood who joined Darlaston Town’s management team in early 2024 after leaving his previous position in November 2023 as Assistant Manager to Adam Pearce at Wolverhampton Casuals.

After a successful playing career Grant like many dedicated people proceeded into coaching start as many do in youth football, traveling a very similar path as Dean Gill taking charge of a successful Chasetown Youth team through the ages until reaching U18 level. Following the success of that team Grant was invited by manager Adam Pearce to join Wolverhampton Casuals initially as a coach in May 2020 progressing to assistant manager until leaving.
He is very much larger than life character, who is honest and thoughtful approach has earned huge respect and trust from the players and his peers. Grant has become over very short time a key member of the team.
Can we introduce a new addition and final member of Dean’s Management Team, someone who has an impeccable reputation and has developed the careers of so many talented youngsters, please welcome Scott Mason.

Scott’s coaching career really became successful in a 9 year stint in National League Kidderminster Harriers Academy working in several key roles, but his success came as joint manger of the U16 & U18 sides winning trophies, but his largest success at Kiddi Harriers came with the Academy U23 side who under Scott’s control won their league title in 2019. Whilst at Kidderminster Harriers Scott was able to complete his UEFA B Coaching qualification.
Scott’s reputation of finding and developing young talent saw him move from the National League outfit to Halesowen Town to take charge of the U21’s. In their first season they created history by winning their treble, winning their league as well as two cups. The success saw he change roles at Halesowen joining the first team Management Team under Paul Smith.
After leaving Halesowen Scott has been Manager at Bewdley Town, Stourport Swifts Dev, as well as Assistant Manager at Studley and Bromyard Town.
Scott’s hardworking with attention to detail leaving no stone unturned to bring success and development players, but also having a laugh and plenty of banter along the way
