It's been a busy first month at the club, and I’d like to start by thanking the committee, volunteers and everyone connected with the club for the warm welcome. The support and positivity we’ve received so far has been greatly appreciated.
As we begin this new chapter, it’s important to remember that progress isn’t measured by what can be achieved in a few weeks or months, it’s about how far not how quick.
Our aim is to build something exciting but also sustainable that gives the club the best possible chance of long-term success. We know the challenges ahead, and we certainly won’t underestimate them, but there is real opportunity here.
Over the past few weeks we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to put the right foundations in place. Staff recruitment is now complete and I’m looking forward to introducing the team shortly. Good people are vital to any successful club, and I’m excited by the group we’ve assembled.
Player recruitment is also progressing well. I’ve had some excellent conversations with players who are enthusiastic about being part of what we’re building, and that has been encouraging to see and feel.
The league looks strong and competitive, which is exactly what we want. There will be new grounds to visit, familiar faces to meet again and plenty of challenges to embrace along the way.
For now, the focus remains on preparation and ensuring we’re ready for the season ahead. Thank you again for the welcome and support. We’re looking forward to getting started and doing everything we can to make everyone connected with the club proud.
